What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager in Training position at Ike's Love and Sandwiches?
Ike's is looking for a General Manager in Training in our popular Orange County area!
Ike’s Love & Sandwiches is a pioneer in the sandwich world transcending the sandwich genre since 2007. Over the last 12 years we have expanded into 80 units and are looking to continue the expansion with at least 15 new stores in various areas throughout the US this 2023.
Starting salary begins at $25.00hr. Salary is dependent on experience, but a competitive salary will be provided and adjusted as needed.
Through direct mentorship, you will be trained on all aspects of a General Manager role.
Day-in-the-Life of a Store Manager in-Training:
- Learn about all of the possible situations that can occur in a retail store to prepare for a future General Manager position.
Some examples of what you’ll learn to do (but not limited to):
- Adhere to company standards: Follows the service levels to increase sales and minimize costs including food, beverage, supply, utility, and while managing labor costs.
- Supports General Manager: To ensure all financial (e.g., invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas: Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
- Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service: Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors and schedule the delivery of fresh food and supplies.
- Ensure positive guest service in all areas: Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into returning guests.
- Ensure that proper security procedures are in place: To protect employee, guests and company assets. Completes accident reports promptly if a guest or employee is injured and reporting in a timely manner.
- Investigate: Properly report, and help resolve employee complaints in partnership with HR.
- Interview hourly employees: Direct hiring, supervision development, and, when necessary, termination of employees with the guidance of HR.
- Conduct orientation and oversee the training of new employees: Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues.
