What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Food Service position at IKM-Manning Elementary School?
1. Assist in preparing and serving daily breakfast and lunch meals.
2. Operate all kitchen equipment such as dishwasher, slicers, mixers, ovens and other kitchen equipment as needed.
3. Must follow safety and sanitation procedures including wearing heairnet and disposable gloves.
4. Assist in cleaning and storing utensils, dishes, trays, pans and other kitchen equipment.
5. Enter transactions and make change if necessary.
6. Be very safety conscious and practice safety precautions at all times.
7. Know the basics of USDA Food Service Requirements.
8. Assist with unloading of food trucks and store food properly.
9. Have a good working relationship with all other persons.
10. Stock and restock quick serve food items.
11. Move and arrange cafaterria tables as needed.
12. Dispose of trash daily.
13. May wash laundry.
14. Work with teachers in education of students about nutrition.
15. Work with Head Cook and Food Service Director as needed.
16. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
17. Responsible for cleaning/wiping down lunch tables after each line.
18. Assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Food Service Director.
