What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician position at IKO North America?
As a Commercial Roofing Field Service Technician, you will play a vital role in promoting IKO Commercial Roofing and Building Envelope products to the contracting community. Additionally, you will respond to technical inquiries from both internal and external customers related to commercial roofing and building envelopes.

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE:
- Liaising with the commercial contracting community and performing quality assurance inspections of ongoing and completed commercial roofing jobs.
- Preparing and conducting both theory and hands-on commercial product training for existing and potential Registered Contractors.
- Producing written inspection and quality assurance reports for internal and external customers.
- Working with the contracting community and distribution network on product education and promotion
- Conducting warranty claims investigations when appropriate
- Attending and participating in related association events to promote IKO Commercial products.
- Attending internal meetings, functions, and company-provided training as required
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- 3-5 years of direct hands-on experience in the commercial roofing business
- Ideally has experience with quality assurance and roof inspections with the roofing contractor
- Understanding of commercial roofing assemblies and their applications
- Driver’s License in good standing required
- Must need to feel extremely comfortable with heights and climbing a ladder
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
WORK AUTHORIZATIONS AND TRAVEL:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States of America
- Must have a valid driver’s license and can travel throughout the designated territory with potentially some overnight stays.
- Frequent travel, site visits, and some overnight travel could be required.
