Chief Compliance Officer
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program aligned with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
- Lead relationships with regulatory agencies, ensuring transparent communication and timely reporting.
- Oversee compliance for all regulated activities, including banking, payments, securities, and private fund advisory services (including KYC/AML processes, data privacy, and advertising compliance).
- Identify and mitigate emerging compliance risks in partnership with internal stakeholders.
- Manage incident response for compliance and privacy-related events.
- Support the launch of new business lines by assessing compliance implications and ensuring regulatory readiness.
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in compliance roles, preferably within fintech, banking, or investment advisory sectors.
- Proven expertise in U.S. payments and banking regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, and state money transmission laws.
- Deep knowledge of compliance requirements for private securities offerings and broker-dealer activities, including SEC and FINRA regulations, as well as state securities laws and Blue Sky filings.
- Thorough understanding of global data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA); cybersecurity compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001; and vendor and third-party compliance risks.
- Strong leadership skills with experience guiding compliance teams and fostering a culture of ethical excellence.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise with regulatory bodies, internal teams, and external partners.
- A proactive approach to identifying risks and developing innovative solutions.
Salary : $200,000 - $300,000
