What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Lines Underwriter position at Ikon Search?
Ikon is representing an NYC-based wholesaler focused on serving Asian-American small business. In this role, you work directly underneath the MD, receiving invaluable leadership exposure and mentorship.
The underwriting is focused on BOPs & packages for small/medium sized businesses, primarily in the Asian-American community. Because of this, there is a very strong preference for someone who has familiarity or fluency in Mandarin
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex portfolio of renewal and new business produced by the MD
- Underwrite and manage the renewal process for select clients
- Contribute in a small team environment.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of underwriting experience (ideally E&S)
- Wholesale experience is a big plus
- Preference for Mandarin speaking candidates
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
