What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Casualty Underwriter position at Ikon Search?
Ikon is representing an independent MGA looking to expand their Casualty underwriting team. This role joins a program focused on sports/contingency and has quickly become a top player in their space. They have several other programs and an in-house reinsurer that takes on risk for each of their programs.
You'd primarily write casualty/GL among other ancillary lines. Given the size of the niche, you'd handle most of the back-office underwriting while slowly picking up new business/new clients, and establishing yourself in the space.
They recently surpassed $50M in GWP and are growing rapidly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex portfolio of accounts and help acquire new business
- Underwrite and manage the renewal process for select clients
- Contribute in a small team environment.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of casualty underwriting experience.
- Interest in the sports/entertainment niche
- Bachelor’s degree
Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
