What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Underwriter position at Ikon Search?
Ikon is representing a top 10 national wholesaler looking for a Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter. The role supports a top producing contract binding team based out of NYC that focuses on BOPs/package business for small/middle market accounts. They represent both admitted & non-admitted markets.
Reporting directly to the SVP, you would focus on marketing of new business and renewals, when needed. The ideal candidate won't just be rating/quoting, you'd proactively help manage and problem solve when new accounts come in. The more you can hit the ground running, the better.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a problem solver for the MD
- Market new business/renewal accounts
- Work with brokers and send out quotes for primarily new business submissions
Qualifications:
- 3 years underwriting, ideally for a wholesaler in their contract binding unit
- Experience working as a generalist in P&C, ideally working on smaller accounts writing BOPs/package business
- Speaking Mandarin is a huge plus
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
