Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana in Del Mar is hiring for a host/hostess position. Our front desk employees know that first impressions are everything. They welcome our guests upon arrival and help create a friendly and cordial environment. We believe in providing a hospitable experience for our guests and are looking for individuals with an outgoing friendly attitude.

- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to create a friendly and inviting guest experience, in person and over the phone
- Ability to quickly and accurately manage reservations, guest seating and wait times using Open Table
- Planning and organizing dining room seating for the evening
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Answering the phones and providing information about the restaurant
- Clearly and concisely communicating to both guests and employees
- Controlling the flow of the restaurant seating to ensure guest satisfaction
- Team player; you're always willing to give and ask for help
- Must be available to work a minimum of 3 lunch shifts including 2 weekdays
- Must be available weekends (Friday-Sunday) and major holidays (including Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve)
