Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food for banquets and events according to recipes and specifications
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards
- Collaborate with the banquet team to plan and execute menu items for events
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cook or chef in a banquet or catering setting
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Please note that bartending experience is not required for this position.
