Job Description:
- Installing & testing 12-volt law enforcement vehicle equipment
- Installing light bars, flashers, sirens, radios, speakers, antennas, routers, video cameras, laptops, printers, consoles, transport partitions and K-9 cages
- Disassembling and reassembling vehicle trim, seats, lights, headliners, carpet, and grille/front ends to properly route wiring and install equipment.
- Ability to use basic tools and test equipment, including hand tools, power drills, multi-meters, etc.
- Follow company defined procedures for equipment installation
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment as necessary
- Maintaining the customer's confidence by keeping install/service information confidential.
- Maintain safe and orderly work area
- Continuous learning in new products, skills techniques from colleagues and manufacturers
- Completion of all required paperwork and documentation
- Experience: 0-1 year of automotive wiring or related 12-Volt electrical experience
- Deep understanding of automotive wiring
- Be able to follow directions, evaluate problems and prioritize tasks
- Work well in a small team
- Body Shop experience A PLUS!
- Experience with law enforcement vehicles A PLUS!
- Must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50lbs, stand, bend and reach for extended periods of time.
