Intern Cyber Security / IT Security (Unpaid Internship)
We are seeking a motivated Security Intern to assist with cybersecurity and IT security operations within our K-12 school environment. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in network security, threat analysis, and security policy implementation.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining network security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.
- Conduct basic security audits and vulnerability assessments under supervision.
- Help with incident response, including investigating and documenting potential security threats.
- Assist in managing user access controls and permissions.
- Research best practices for cybersecurity in K-12 education and provide recommendations.
- Support the IT team in implementing security policies and training materials for staff and students.
- Document security incidents and maintain logs for compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with IT staff to improve security measures and address security-related issues.
