We are looking for an experienced Finance and Accounting Controller to provide financial oversight including leading month-end close, balance sheet reconciliation, cash management, and accounting policies and procedures implementation / improvement in line with Ilera's standard operating procedures. This is a key role within the organization that is responsible for providing thoughtful financial leadership for our management team in Louisiana.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Lead the general ledger accounting close process to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all accounts, databases and files, including monthly review of financial statements and related reconciliations.
• Identify and implement efficiencies to improve the timeliness of month end close.
• Manage payroll and assist in the Human Resources process.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) and Management Reporting and present findings to management.
• Act as a business partner in establishing a monthly review calendar with operating teams, assessing variances and identifying process improvements as a part of the monthly close process.
• Develop, implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal controls for the Accounting / Finance department.
• Perform regular ad hoc analysis of revenue, gross margin, expenses, labor and project cost tracking.
• Understand and improve cost accounting practice to effectively analyze margin, product costing and inventory valuation of grown and manufactured inventory.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting and technical accounting guidance.
• Assist with periodic inventory audits.
• Assist with banking activities.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Be able to 'wear multiple hats' as a team player as we establish the organization.

Background Check Requirement :
