What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Washer position at Iliff Aircraft Repair?
The work of the Parts Washer/Cleaner candidate, depending on assignment, may include the following:
Cleans components, accessory parts and/or assemblies by operations such as washing, scraping, power washing, steaming, media blasting, scrubbing, wiping, soaking, sanding and polishing according to the method required to remove dirt, grease, scale, paint, debris, waste, other foreign material, to restore appearance or condition. Keeps equipment cleaned that are used in the work area and reports the need for repairs to management. May service the equipment used to keep it in good operating condition. May mix the cleaning compounds and solutions. May mix and store solutions, keep clean the work area as may apply to his or her work assignment, uses specialized cleaning solutions and materials; uses equipment such as media blaster, power washer, scrubber, mops, brushes, hand pads and brooms. May use hand tools such as pliers, wire snips, screwdrivers, and wrenches. As may apply to his or her work assignment, uses cleaning materials such as solvents, hot solutions, hot water, soap, bleach and steam. Uses equipment such as buckets, hot soap solution tanks, media blaster, wire wheel, grinder, racks and other holding devices, steel and other brushes, steel wool, and rags. Uses protective equipment such as masks, respirator, gloves, full body coveralls, goggles, safety glasses, rubber boots, and aprons. Works according to FAA and Company regulations and procedures and instructions from management. Completes forms connected with his or her work assignments according to established procedures. In addition to the above duties, may perform the following other duties as assigned such as but not limited to: cleaning work area, cleaning hangar area, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning offices, cleaning break rooms, grounds maintenance and cleaning company equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED Applicable valid driver’s license as required by local authorities Successful completion of all required qualifying tests; including passing a drug and alcohol test upon request Ability to wear respirator while performing required tasks Read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language Use simple arithmetic (Addition and subtraction of six-digit numbers) Must have knowledge of and ability to use basic computer skills Reports to work on a regular and timely basis

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
