Job Title: Production Line Lead
Shift: 1st Shift, 4:00 AM Start Time; Must be flexible for 2nd shift, 2:00 PM Start Time.
Pay: $18-$25 per hour, DOE
Position Overview:
As a Production Line Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of production line workers to ensure efficient and effective operations in our food warehouse. You will be instrumental in meeting production goals, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a deep understanding of food safety, quality control, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the production line, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Delegate, coordinate, and assign duties to production workers, ensuring tasks are performed according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide coaching and leadership to team members to enhance productivity and work performance.
- Track and report on production metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to increase efficiency.
- Ensure that all operations adhere to food safety regulations, including knowledge and enforcement of HAACP, SOP, SSOPs, GMPs, and food safety protocols.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with sanitation and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Conduct training sessions on production processes, safety standards, and quality assurance.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members, ensuring clarity and understanding of production goals and expectations.
- Act as a bilingual liaison (English/Spanish) to communicate effectively with all team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Experience in Manufacturing environment, preferably in a food warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing production teams and improving production efficiency.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations, including HAACP,
SOP, SSOPs, GMPs, and general food safety practices. Proficiency in verbal and written communication, with the ability to effectively communicate with both English and
Spanish-speaking team members. Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with production tracking software is a plus.
