Key Responsibilities
- Design Execution: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications.
- User Research: Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
- Leadership: Provide mentorship to team members, guide design strategies, and contribute to fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Agile Processes: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to ensure timely and effective delivery of design solutions.
- Material Design Systems: Leverage Material Design Systems to create consistent and scalable designs that align with industry standards.
- Ethical Design: Ensure all designs adhere to ethical standards, focusing on privacy and avoiding dark patterns.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, including responsible AI applications.
- Accessibility: Design with inclusivity in mind, ensuring products are accessible to users with varying abilities.
- Documentation: Prepare design specifications and guidelines to assist development teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, including leadership roles.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing user-centric design solutions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Material Design Knowledge: Familiarity with Material Design Systems and their application in scalable design projects.
- Illustration Skills: Experience with AI-generated image prompting and illustration skills are assets.
- Agile Familiarity: Proven experience working in Agile environments and contributing to iterative design processes.
- Understanding of Ethics: Knowledge of ethical design practices and privacy considerations.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and provide creative solutions to design challenges.
