Job Summary:
Research and analyze competitive data, year-to-year trending and creates inventory forecasts. Develop and maintain customer pricing and promotional discounts. Responsible for data files and databases related to inventory levels, pricing forecasts, customer, and market data files. Respond to requests for information and product requests. This position will be responsible for confidential product and pricing information.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for trending and pricing analysis, and using that data, create sales forecasts and enter into ERP system.
Research, analyze, and present market data to support business planning.
Initiate and follow-up on communication with vendors, customers, and internal departments to meet required delivery appointments.
Ensure accurate entry of all sales orders on appropriate databases within established timeframes.
Develop and maintain customer price and promotional discount lists in the ERP system.
Responsible for maintaining accurate databases related to sales orders, promotional discounts, broker networks and retail and foodservice contacts (i.e. ERP).
Ensure inventory meets appropriate shelf-life and turnover requirements through inventory counts.
Distribute incoming sales inquiries and provide high level of customer service and problem resolution when issues arise. Follow up on an as-needed basis.
Responsible for the fulfillment of information and product requests.
Make recommendations related to improvements in policies and procedures that result in increased savings and accurate forecasting.
Coordinate department travel, including planning and execution of company trade shows throughout the year.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelors’ degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Equivalent education or experience
in Sales or Marketing may be considered.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a Marketing or Sales environment, including
experience with pricing, pricing analysis, inventory, and customer
needs assessments.
Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and
external sources in written, verbal or presentation formats.
Evidence of ability to build and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Evidence of analytical and data gathering skills from relevant sources and ability to
make sound business recommendations.
Computer proficiency including using computers and computer systems set up functions,
enter data, or process information.
Demonstrated ability organize, plan, and prioritize work autonomously and with minimal
direction and supervision.
Working Conditions:
Ability to lift 25 pounds.
