Job Summary:
The Corporate Sales Account Executive is responsible for B2B sales for the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers and events held at 313 Presents venues including suites leases and rentals, club seats, and other revenue-generating programs through constant dialogue via meetings, telephone, email and prospecting.
Key Responsibilities / Skill Requirements:
- Responsible for achieving both individual and team sales goals.
- Focus on generating revenue through corporate sales for new stadium and arena projects.
- Sell a variety of products through B2B process, including Premium leases, rentals, club seats, group and season tickets
- Research, prospect and establish leads for corporate relationships through industry networking to achieve revenue goals.
- Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations to existing and prospective clients.
- Cultivate new relationships and optimize existing accounts through outstanding customer service to drive revenue.
- Communicate status of sales with the Director of Corporate Sales by providing weekly pipeline updates and reports on sales activity to track individual performance and growth.
- Ensure client information is current, accurate, and updated in CRM.
- Process ticket orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Meet or exceed a minimum of 50-60 outgoing cold calls per day to generate new business.
- Set a minimum of 5 face-to-face appointments per week to generate new business.
- Provide first-class customer service to generate new clients and sales revenue, as well as repeat business and referrals.
- Ensure timely collection of payments, monitor ticket fulfillment and maintain detailed records on purchase history.
- Perform assigned game day responsibilities such as attending games to develop an understanding of events, meet clients to ensure they have a positive experience, as well as participate in any promotions or appointments as needed.
- Responsible for client entertainment at events (i.e. lunches and golf outings) and Suite hosting to cultivate business relationships.
- Attend industry related networking functions.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in sports management, marketing communications or related field.
- 1-3 years sales experience in sports/entertainment related, media or sales field.
- Proven track record of cultivating B2B relationships and sales.
- Possess the highest integrity and ethical standards.
- Assertive, competitive, passionate, goal orientated and a strong work ethic.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop account strategies, and negotiate creative solutions.
- Have a professional, respectful, and confident demeanor and interactions with colleagues.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills - must be able to manage schedule to achieve daily and weekly goals for calls, appointments and sales.
- Self-starter with ability to multitask and maintain deadlines in a high-paced environment.
- Demonstrated communication and presentation skills, with an ability to think and react to situations confidently.
- Ability to work long or unpredictable hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must possess knowledge of all Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Experience in the sports or entertainment industry preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exposure to high noise level
- Frequent visual/auditory attention
- Working in an arena environment with varying temperatures
- Lifting equipment that weighs up to 25 pounds
