An international law firm is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Associate to join their renowned team in Chicago. You will work within their strong and growing 200 lawyer Corporate Practice Group, working directly with their chair as well as a co-team lead of the firms banking and finance interdisciplinary team. The role will involve providing regional national and international experience and representation to a diverse spectrum of financial institutions, including commercial banks, insurance and finance companies, investment banks and asset managers.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate should have;
- Five years of solid and meaningful experience in one or more of the areas of acquisition financing (leverage finance), agented syndicated secured financings (cash flow or asset-based), fund finance, and / or healthcare financings, with a good knowledge of Article 9 of the UCC.
- Strong drafting and negotiating skills are essential.
- You must have a desire for meaningful client contacts and doing deals; and have an outgoing and engaging personality.
- Large law firm or commercial finance boutique experience is preferred.
