A prestigious global law firm is seeking a skilled Mid-to-Senior Level Finance Associate to join its Finance Practice in Palo Alto. With a team of 70 dedicated finance lawyers, the firm provides comprehensive counsel on sophisticated financing transactions across the U.S. and Europe. Recognized by Chambers and Legal 500, the firm is an industry leader known for its cross-border capabilities and deep market expertise.

About the Practice

The Finance team represents both lenders and borrowers in a wide range of financing transactions, including:

• Acquisition financings, leveraged buyouts, and corporate restructurings.
• Special situations and complex debt financing structures.
• Asset management finance, project finance, and energy finance transactions.

Clients include investment and commercial banks, business development companies, private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as institutional lenders and direct lenders. The team works seamlessly with the firm’s private equity, M&A, restructuring, capital markets, real estate, and tax groups to provide business-focused, strategic legal advice.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in California and in good standing.
• Mid-to-senior level associate with finance experience at a peer firm.
• Experience representing lenders (investment/commercial banks, business development companies, or debt providers) and/or borrowers (including private equity sponsors).
• Strong background in acquisition financings, buyouts, restructurings, and special situation transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
