Job Summary:
The Production Manager oversees coordination of production process and personnel. Supports production activities and goals, develops standardization of processes and is responsible for continuous improvement of the department in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Reports to: Direct of Operations
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
· Oversees the daily workflow of the production department.
· Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
· Handles documentation, discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
· Reviews timecards and manages scheduling of Illing staff and temporary staff.
· Delegates projects and responsibilities to team members as necessary.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Partner with senior management to identify opportunities for process improvements in production department.
· Direct and support the consistent implementation of company initiatives.
· Promote positive relations with employees to maximize production efficiency and safety.
· Collects, evaluates, analyzes, and assesses production data.
· Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate for regular processes in department. Sustain and audit existing SOPs. Train team as necessary.
· Manages machine improvement and maintenance programs. Develop maintenance schedules or services logs.
· Become proficient in company-based management system (Infor).
· Continue to define and refine metrics to track safety, quality, delivery and cost (SQDC) of the production department.
· Assist in the continued development and enforcement of quality and safety procedures for the department.
· Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.
· Coordinates the production schedule with staff members.
· Issue corrective actions to document and correct all deviations from procedures or job losses. Share each corrective action with Operations Manager and/or staff. Process, file and enforce the Corrective Actions based on the SOP for Illing corrective actions.
· Responsible for implementing 5S training along with sustaining the goals of this methodology.
· Buyer/Planner for maintenance, repair, operations (MRO) in production department or as needed/directed.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
· Proficiency in ERP operating software, MS-Word and MS-Excel.
· At least 2 years of production management or equivalent experience required.
· Technical degree in related field preferred, but not required.
· Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the facility.
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
· Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
· Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.

Salary : $78,000 - $90,000
