Job Overview:
We are seeking a dependable individual with a commitment to safety and a passion for working with students. As a Part-Time Yellow School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting high school students to and from school in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 72-passenger yellow school bus following established routes and schedules.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers by adhering to traffic laws and maintaining a safe driving environment.
- Maintain order and discipline among students while on the bus.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and parents regarding transportation-related issues.
- Follow all state and federal regulations pertaining to school bus transportation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements.
- Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
Benefits:
- $25 per hour.
- Opportunity for additional hours beyond the regular schedule.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM, with additional hours available for sports, extracurricular activities, and/or field trips.
