Under direct supervision, assists physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. Promotes efficient patient flow and patient care, i.e. exams, and procedures. Performs clinic support tasks including miscellaneous clerical tasks, answering phones, and maintaining physician’s schedule. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.• Provide collaborative nursing support.
Cleaning and stocking exam rooms
Qualifications:
High School degree or GED
2 years experience as a Medical Assistant (3 years’ experience)
CPR Certification required same as BLS
Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
Phlebotomy skills highly desired

Responsibilities

- Maintain efficient patient flow.
- Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
- Administer appropriate injections .
- Take vitals. (prepare patients for examinations, perform EKG)
Cleaning and stocking exam rooms
- Receiving and returning patient calls
- Phones in prescriptions and makes other patient calls as directed by physicians and RN. (no calling in prescriptions)
- Other duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
High School degree or GED
2 years experience as a Medical Assistant (3 years’ experience)
CPR Certification required same as BLS
Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
Phlebotomy skills highly desired
