Illinois Central College (ICC) seeks confidential applications and nominations for the next Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs (EVPAA) to serve as the chief academic affairs officer and provide ongoing leadership for the increasing levels of student success as well policies, practices, management and support of academic affairs operations.
Illinois Central College is a public community college providing a dynamic learning environment that fosters excellence, opportunity, and innovation in meeting the educational needs of its diverse students and community. Illinois Central College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and its next review is scheduled for 2029.
ICC serves the residents of all or parts of ten counties in Central Illinois encompassing a land area of 2,322 square miles and a population of approximately 365,000. ICC enrolls more than 10,500 students in credit programs and more than 2,000 continuing and community education/workforce students annually. As an open access college, ICC welcomes any student who is willing to learn.
ICC’s East Peoria Campus is situated on over 400 acres of beautiful, wooded terrain.
ICC opened a second campus in Peoria in 2002 and renovated it within the last ten years and opened an additional remote location, ICC Pekin, at the Riverway Business Park in 2008.
The Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs (EVPAA) reports to the College president, serves on the College’s Senior Leadership team and collaborates strategically with administrative and faculty colleagues across the College to create an environment that is focused on student success, supports effective use of data in decision-making, is grounded in a commitment to diversity in all aspects of teaching and learning, and values the attainment of excellence in all aspects of the collegiate experience. This role embodies openness, inclusion, social justice, equity, innovation, community responsiveness, collaboration and teamwork in a unionized environment.
The successful candidate will be an experienced, confident academic leader with an open, inclusive, and innovative style, a strong commitment to shared governance, and a successful track record of managing change within a unionized environment. They will have exceptional communication and people skills, positive change management experience, strong budget/financial acumen, and demonstrated success in fostering a culture of collaboration and trust.
