The Lead Curriculum Coordinator provides functional support, monitoring, and configuration of the technical systems related to curriculum procedures. The position is the primary contact for and supports the various departments using the Student Integrated System (SIS) and is the primary communication link to the college’s Curriculum Committee for questions or needs relative to the curriculum software. Responsibilities include process analysis, configuration, system update development, training, testing, support, and documentation. This position is responsible for maintaining the Course Master file and the Program Master File with the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) and ensuring the accuracy of the file in relation to the College data on file.This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. - Assist the Dean of Curriculum and Scheduling in providing recommendations to end users for course-level and program-level curricular compliance with the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) Administrative Rules, Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Guidelines and the Department of Education (DOE) guidelines.
- Provide training, support, updates, and documentation to the end users usage of Curriculum Module in Coursedog.
- Develop Reports in Coursedog and Degree Planner to identify and resolve data for analysis and planning and for process and/or system functionality issues. Share Reports with employees as needed.
- Screen, edit, and organize all proposals for curricular changes for the Curriculum Committee along with the ICCB, HLC and DOE submissions. Serves as the college's designated Course and Curriculum contact with ICCB.
- Serve as the secretary to the College’s Curriculum Committee by developing agendas, tracking proposals, disseminating materials to committee members and proposers, recording, developing and distributing minutes.
- Execute all official actions taken by the Curriculum Committee and the recommended syllabi and program proposals.
- Oversee the process of syllabi updates, assisting users in their submissions, organizing the reviews of the Curriculum Committee Subcommittee, processing edits, and distributing feedback to users, and recording status updates.
- Analyze and systematically process all course and curriculum status changes and updates through each step of the approval process.
- Develop diagnostic reports to identify and resolve data process and/or system functionality issues. Recommends and facilities improvements to current process policies and procedures. Work with end users to identify business needs.
- Conduct regular scheduled Script testing in the ERP testing environment to ensure data and functionality integrity before updates can occur. (Academic Plans, Requirement Groups, Course Lists, Advisement Reports).
- Maintain the Curriculum Procedures Guide, incorporates updates and prepares up-to-date training materials for end-users and Curriculum Committee members.
- Prepare submission of course and program data to the ICCB approval system assuring accurate coding and effective dating to align with scheduling processed and apportionment claims.
- Prepare submission of new program applications to ICCB ensuring the appropriate form collecting and compiling all the necessary files and reviewing/editing application text as needed.
- Compile and ensure accuracy of program and course information annually to produce the College Catalog.
- Assist in the process to obtain transfer articulation for ICC courses.
- Maintain accuracy between the College Catalog information and records of the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI).
- Provide accurate and relevant course information to students and outside entities upon special requests.
- Provide detailed functional specifications and coordinates programming requirements with technical staff for system modifications.
- Identify, report, communicate, recommend, and resolve process issues with Student Degree Planner tool.
- Identifies reports and recommends resolutions from project issues, performs as an advocate for user constituents and promotes acceptance of new processes and systems.
- Participate as a supportive team member in the Curriculum and Scheduling office and on college committees or teams such as the General Education Committee.
- Consult with the Enterprise team regarding the development of the new Student ERP system.
- Respond to inquiries from the following: Institutional Research regarding state reporting on courses; Accounting department regarding lab hours changes for correct student fees on courses; Academic Departments and Student Advising regarding degree requirements, General Education distribution course sets, catalog of record, catalog display and formatting.
- Work in collaboration with the Coordinator of Scheduling with the academic schedule.
- Assist with the work on the 8-week scheduling.

- Bachelor’s degree, OR
- Associate’s degree with 3 years of direct work experience in an academic environment, OR
- A combination of education and experience to include 5 years of experience developing, enhancing, and supporting technical and administrative information systems in an academic environment.
