What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Tutor- Biology position at Illinois Central College?
The Tutor is primarily responsible for facilitating student learning and helping students understand concepts or applications of course content. This position supports students and assists them in gaining effective study skills and maximizing their potential for their academic success.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours a week and willing to work at both campus locations
Peoria and East Peoria Campus
- Must be able to tutor in the following subjects:
1. Physiology and Anatomy
2. Life Sciences
3. Microbiology

6. Prepare supplemental materials specific to subject.

1. Associate's degree or higher in Biology or related field.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
4. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with others.1. Prior enrollment and completion in the selected course.
2. Experience as a tutor, teacher, or instructor.
3. Experience with Academic Software applications.
4. Experience working in an online learning environment.
5. Experience working in higher education.
Salary : $18 - $22
