What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Testing Specialist position at Illinois Central College?

Facilitate student success by offering personalized support, guiding students to resources, and acknowledging each student's unique story.

Administer Placement testing for curriculum and course placement i.e. Accuplacer, HESI.
Orchestrate other ICC placement tests i.e. BIO 205, Spanish, Music Theory.
Conduct testing for business and industry i.e. ACT WorkKeys, Mechanical Reasoning, Mechanical Aptitude.
Facilitate pre and post testing for the Adult Education department i.e. CASAS.
Complete training, maintain certifications, and provide technical support for all computerized test programs.
Administer professional certification exams, state proficiency exams, and credit by exam through multiple testing. platforms i.e. PearsonVue, Certiport, PSI, CLEP, DSST, Meazure Learning.
Serve as a liaison between faculty and students to assist with the administration, coordination, and scheduling of ICC proctored exams i.e. make-up, accommodated.
Process and proctor extension tests from other schools i.e. ALEKS-PPL.
Assist Access Service staff by monitoring extra time, reading exams aloud, typing, dictating, and/or scribing for students as needed.
Load score information into our student management system.
Invigilate weekend and evening testing as needed i.e. ACT, CNA, SAT.
Assist with scheduling and all inquiries regarding test-related questions in person and by phone, mail, and e-mail.
Provide daily support in all aspects of the Testing Center, as needed i.e. assisting with new proctor training.
Perform related duties as required.

Associate degree.
Strong computer skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong reading skills including the ability to fluently read aloud.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Direct experience in a Higher Education testing environment.
Salary : $17 - $19
