Responsibilities:
As an Illinois Central School Bus Driver, your major responsibilities will be to:
- Transport children and other passengers to and from school (Unit 7 School District).
- Operate vehicles safely, following regulations and company procedures
- Ensure the safety of all students.
- Attend safety meetings as required.
- Assist students with getting on and off the bus as needed.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years
- Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test and physical examination.
- Starting pay for Drivers is $25.00 per hour or higher for experienced drivers.
- Hiring Bonus - $1,000/$2,000 (experienced drivers)
- Free CDL Training - No Experience Necessary! *
- Flexible hours – no Nights or Weekends required. *
- Time off during school holidays.
- 4 hours per day guarantee when school is in session*
