This position serves as the Testing Lead for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) in developing, recommending, and implementing policies and procedures for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program. In this role, you will review, modify, and implement ERP Program testing plans. Essential Functions

  • Subject to management approval, serves as the Testing Lead for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) developing, recommending, and implementing policies and procedures for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program.
  • Oversees the concurrent testing process for pilot implementation in both state agencies and Constitutional offices in directing and coordinating all subject matter experts (SME) assigned to test the functionality of the ERP Program.
  • Performs highly complex and specialized studies for program testing components and interprets the findings.
  • Serves as a spokesperson on matters associated with the testing of the ERP Program.
  • Serves as a project leader directing, coordinating and reviewing the activities of assigned staff and agency subject matter experts (SME’s) to ensure project components align.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology field by continuing education through meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with coursework in management information systems, data processing, telecommunications, or directly related fields.
  • Requires prior experience equivalent to four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in management information systems, data processing or telecommunications in a public or business organization.
  • Requires four (4) years of administrative experience supervising a large team of IT professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six (6) years of professional experience leading testing initiatives for large-scale ERP implementations, including the development and execution of comprehensive testing plans.
  • Six (6) years of professional experience reviewing and evaluating ERP-level test results, including severity of incidents discovered during testing to provide actionable recommendations to address existing and potential issues within ERP programs.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience in developing, recommending, and implementing policies and procedures for large-scale ERP programs in a public or private organization.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience coordinating and managing cross-functional teams, including ERP vendors, internal teams, and external stakeholders, to ensure successful test planning and pilot program execution.
  • Thorough knowledge of staff utilization and employee motivation across the program without direct reporting responsibility.
  • Ability to establish, monitor, and enforce testing standards for ERP applications, ensuring quality and compliance with defined criteria.
  • Thorough knowledge of the administration, configuration, and management of SmartSheet and HP Quality Center (HPQC) software, including scenario and script creation, test cycle planning, execution, and defect tracking to support comprehensive testing processes.
  • Developed verbal and written communication skills to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders with precision and clarity.

  • Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Requires the ability to serve in an on-call capacity.
  • Requires the ability to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, short notice, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
