Your Role...
The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for directing the delivery of member services by supervising daily branch operations and supporting member service and growth plans of the branch. The Assistance Branch Manager will strive to provide excellent service effectively communicating with each member in person, online or by phone.
Your daily workday will include:
- Assists new and existing members with their financial needs, opens and closes various types of accounts, processes transactions, supports fraud claims process; resolves member account issues, and identifies financial needs of the member and provides information regarding other Credit Union products and services that apply. Services lending needs, discusses credit needs and loan options, accepts loan applications and/or required documents needed to assist in loan closing.
- Process and disburse consumer loans.
- Coordinates MSR/Teller operations and staff scheduling and rotates on Saturday schedule. Perform scheduled cash audits and weekly cash order for the branch. Follow procedures that all operation areas are secured when opening and closing the branch.
- Leads daily branch operations and monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensures appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions. Monitors all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Maintains communications with Director of Member Engagement; coordinate, prepares and submits standard monthly reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
- Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with members, sponsor organization(s), suppliers, other financial institutions and similar groups.
- Completes periodic staff performance reviews and supports continued development and staff training.
The Requirements...
- 1-3 years of similar or related experience.
- A four-year college degree in a related field or three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possess excellent communications skills, be enthusiastic self-starter with strong work ethic and having working knowledge of financial institution regulations and daily branch operations.
- Experience with financial system core processor; Portico experience a plus.
- Able to operate in an environment involving high degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communications.
- Required to open and close branch and rotating Saturday schedule. Available to assist and support other branch locations based on business needs.
