Position Overview
Illinois Department of Corrections is looking to hire an Office Associate located at Graham Correctional Center for their Record Office. The ideal candidate is an individual who can multitask and prioritize daily duties. The candidate will be influential in day-to-day operations such as but not limited to compiling, calculating, organizing, and maintaining data routinely. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for communicating with other departments, responding appropriately to individuals in custody, and maintaining working knowledge of other Office Associate-level positions as needed. Essential Functions
- Performs complex sentence calculations including revocation and restoration of good conduct credits, program sentence and Earned Discretionary Sentence Credits.
- Prepares all documentation as a result of individual in custody's due process disciplinary hearing results.
- Composes and keyboards correspondence including legal terminology to outside agencies including sheriff's office, states attorneys and courts regarding individual in custody disciplinary actions and results of legal actions.
- Maintains an accurate filing system assuring individuals in custody are reviewed for restoration of lost good time.
- Maintains individual in custody master files.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of those enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
- Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 words per minute.

- Requires the ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
- Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
