We are a morning newspaper located in Southern Illinois in search of an experienced hands-on editor-reporter who can lead our newsroom into new directions with reporting in a changing world.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead the newsroom and guide staff in responding to breaking local news.
  • Oversee photography, writing, directing, and reporting efforts.
  • Build a culture of excellence and responsiveness in news reporting.

Qualifications :

  • At least 5 years of experience in the newspaper industry.
  • Proven knowledge in photography, writing, directing, and reporting.
  • Ability to lead by example.
