- Assisting students with assignments where required
- Supervising independent or small group work
- Serve as a reference person to the students
- Working with mainstreamed and/or special education students on assignments

- Experience working with students in an educational setting preferred
- Para Educator, Substitute, or Professional Educator License (PEL) required.
- Minimum education requirement for a Para Educator License is completion of at least 60
- Bilingual - Spanish/English (written/verbal) preferred.

Summer Extended School Year (ESY) staff will support one of these locations: Streamwood High School and Liberty Elementary School.
Two days of professional development are required for summer school. Those dates are May 28 and May 29. ESY begins on June 2 and ends July 2.
ESY occurs Monday through Thursday with no school on June 19, 2025 to celebrate the Juneteenth holiday. Staff must be available on all days during the summer school sessions.
ESY staff are expected to be at school 15 minutes prior to the school day and 15 minutes after the school day concludes.
Staff hours: 7:45 am - 11:45 am
Student school day: 8:00 am - 11:30 am

To support the program in providing a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and
appropriate to the maturity, interests and needs of the IEP’d students.
To support the classroom teacher in the program she/he has created for the students.
To adhere to published policies and procedures distributed by the district and school.

each day are 7:45-11:45 am.
