Job Title : Mainframez / OS Analyst (IST I)

Salary : Salary $4,865.00 monthly - commensurate with experience
Overview :
Works from specifications to modify and monitor a z / OS operating system and associated software. Assist senior staff with installations, testing and debugging of operating system, and associated software. Will be introduced to z / OS hardware configuration.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Participates in the Identification and resolution of mainframe hardware and software problems.
- Will be educated and responsible for Third Party software installation. Use of SMP / e software and installation techniques for installing software on a z / OS mainframe system.
- Will be Trained on z / OS security. Will modify basic RACF users and user profiles.
- Receive basic assignments to monitor, modify and troubleshoot associated software, including, Job Entry Subsystem (JES2), Tape Management Software (RMM), and all Third-party software and become Proficient in the use of System Scheduling Software (TWS).
- Assist senior staff with installations and maintenance of more complex associated software and z / OS operating system.
- Performs other duties required or assigned by senior staff, which are reasonably within the duties enumerated above.
Education and Experience :
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of one year of college, with coursework in the computer science field OR 1.5 years of technical systems and programming experience OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
