Reporting to the Executive Director, the Student Attendance and Stronger Connections Program Coordinator will conduct outreach to Stronger Connections districts and establish regular office-hour coaching meetings related to a district's application, improving data collection and use, enhancing reporting, and reviewing performance management. This person will offer grantees technical assistance and capacity-building related to improving attendance and strengthening district capacity to reduce chronic absenteeism. The Student Attendance and Stronger Connections Program Coordinator will partner with The Resilience Education to Advance Community Healing (REACH) and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) hubs to establish or expand district involvement in REACH by offering specific communities of practice and professional learning sessions about staff self-care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares and disseminates related resources and materials about student attendance and chronic absenteeism aligned to Agency strategy.
- Provides state-level support as related to the use of the BSCA Stronger Connections Grant under Title IV Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.
- Participates in the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Supportive Schools T4PA Center capacity-building and professional learning opportunities.
- Coordinates all technical assistance and capacity-building services for Stronger Connections grantees and additional LEAs under purview.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree, or, a Bachelor's degree plus two years of relevant professional experience in education. (COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)
- Two years of teaching experience and/or administrative experience (in addition to the education requirements) at the K-12 level, community college level, higher education level, adult programs or state level.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite. Knowledge of culture, demographics, and languages within the State.
