WGLT and WCBU, the NPR member-stations in Normal and Peoria, IL, are looking to hire Illinois college students part-time. There are positions available in reporting, audio production, vocal performance, and social media management. Radio experience is preferred, but those with other media backgrounds are also encouraged to apply. Hours are flexible based on your availability.

Special Instructions for ApplicantsExtra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week for all University employment. Employees are only paid for hours worked and do not qualify for most benefits including health insurance and retirement, with Illinois State University. However, Extra Help employees are eligible to participate in the University's supplemental retirement savings plans (403b). Applicable retirement information is provided at the time of hire. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment. In addition, extra help employees may only work up to 900 hours total during their employment.
