Job Summary

The Center for Integrated Professional Development is looking to hire a student worker to join the Opscan Evaluation team.

Duties/responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
1. Scoring Opscan tests.
2. Help instructors with completing Opscan job request forms and answer questions about Opscan services.
3. Maintaining inventory of forms daily within the Opscan Office.
4. Staff Opscan job intake window.
5. Assist Opscan Manager in maintaining and troubleshooting scanning software and hardware.
6. Provide clerical assistance to the Scholarly Teaching Director of the center, as needed.

Pay Rate

$15.50/hour

Required Qualifications

1. Basic familiarity with computer software and hardware.
2. Basic secretarial and clerical skills.
3. Good people skills.
4. Ability to function as a responsible, ethical, and independent worker.
5. High level of professionalism.
6. Ability to follow directions and learn new skills easily.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Strong speaking and writing skills.
2. Strong organizational skills.
3. Prior experience with Opscan services.
4. Basic understanding of statistics.
5. Ability to problem-solve computer issues.
6. Ability to complete small programming tasks, if skills are commensurate with that work (e.g. experience with Visual Basic or C).

Work Hours

To be determined between the Opscan manager and the student worker within the time frame of M-F and 8:00am and 4:30pm.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work in Opscan for at least two consecutive hours during the business day (8:00 – 4:30). Additional work hours may occur during midterms and finals.
