In support of this vision, the Mechanical Electricals' responsibilities are performing various Building Maintenance functions at Tollway Buildings and Oases including preventive and emergency maintenance of Building Equipment. Also, installs tests, maintains and repairs equipment for distribution and utilization of electrical energy. Maintenance duties as assigned. Responsible for tools, equipment and material on assigned truck.
Essential Job Functions
Hours will be 7:00AM-3:00PM Monday through Friday, on 24 hour call
The location is at our E06 garage facility (19 N 559 RT 20, Hampshire)
The Mechanical Electricals’ responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for maintenance of stationery equipment (gas or oil-fired boilers and HVAC Equipment including but not limited to: forced air, radiant, hot water and cooling systems of various types) including scheduling of inspections.
- Perform scheduled maintenance checks of equipment, lubricate and make adjustments, major repairs (i.e. pumps, air filters, blowers, condensers, evaporators, controls, minor electrical repairs, etc.).
- Maintain and repair all plumbing, water valves, water softeners, drains, sewers and all related water type piping.
- Installs, test, repairs and maintains motors, fixtures, light bulbs, switches, appliances, air conditioning, plumbing and sewage diagnosis, wiring, switch boards, controllers, and circuit breakers.
- Ability to work from blueprints, drawing, layouts and take directions as necessary.
- Works well with other employees and the ability to guide, train or give direction. as needed, on various projects.
- Must be available for twenty-four (24) hour emergency call out.
- Ability to use various hand and power tools and measuring instruments and maintain in safe and proper operating order.
- Maintain records, prepare reports as required and lists replacement parts to be kept on hand.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications (required):
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Class A CDL permit with an endorsement for air brakes is required at the time of Test. Candidates will be required, as a condition of employment, to obtain a Class CDL with an endorsement for air brakes within his/her probationary period and maintain said license throughout the term of their employment. Failure to obtain and/or maintain said license shall be grounds for termination. All costs associated with the permit and license are the responsibility of the candidate/employee.
- The incumbent must be able to read blueprints, drawings, and layouts, from which one works, also from directions provided by the Manager.
- Through outside training or courses maintains a high level of skill required for this position.
- Must have the ability to use various hand and power tools, along with measuring instruments.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass written examination in order to qualify for an interview.
