What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meal Deliverer position at Illinois Valley Economic Development Corp.?
Illinois Valley is in need of a part-time Meal Deliverer for our Carrollton location.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain the daily meal delivery list from staff at the meal site and deliver those meals in an approved manner.
- Accept and document donations from participants, and turn in all donations on a daily basis.
- Document messages and undeliverable meals and inform the meal site staff at the end of route.
- Will conduct periodic assessments of the condition of their participants.
- Will help staff load individual filled trays (hot and cold) into coolers for home delivery.
- Return empty trays to meal site and clean coolers following deliveries.
- Perform daily pre-inspection and post-inspection on vehicle and document accordingly. Keep vehicles clean and report maintenance needs.
- When time permits, will conduct promotional activities in order to increase participation of eligible senior citizens.
- Attend nutrition staff meetings as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of program participant and agency information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to drive. Maintain a valid Illinois driver’s license and sufficient insurance coverage.
