What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Director - Head Start position at Illinois Valley Economic Development Corp.?
Illinois Valley is in need of a Site Director for their Head Start location in White Hall, IL. This is an exciting possibility for the right candidate!
Responsibilities:
- Will focus directly on the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.
- Will assure compliance with DCFS regulations and provide direction to the staff responsible for providing safe and healthy care for the children.
- Will assist with recruiting and enrollment.
- Will conduct site meetings and parent meetings.
- Will also substitute teach when needed.
Requirements:
- Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood OR a related degree with at least 21 semester hours in early childhood courses.
- Must be DCFS Site Director Qualified.
- Candidates without the required education/certification will not be considered.
This is a full time position during the normal school year (August to May). Would be eligible for unemployment during the two months off with no disruption in benefits.
This position includes excellent benefits and generous vacation, personal and sick time accruals, as well as 12 holidays per year.
