Duties & Responsibilities
Dataset Creation and Manipulation
• Create and manipulate data sets, including large state and national datasets, for various evaluation designs.
• Implement pre-determined rules to code data, create data dictionaries, and interpret data dictionaries.
• Use SPSS, or other software to read in/set up data files, clean and merge datasets from various sources, run automated analysis and reporting systems, and design/write/test/maintain complex programs and for advanced statistical models.
• Use NVivo, or other software to conduct qualitative analysis of data collected through surveys or other qualitative methods, including the annual home visiting workforce survey.
• Develop functions, macros, templates and other utilities for creating code for data cleaning and reporting.
• Develop syntax in statistical software to construct and calculate variables.
Research Analysis and Statistics
• Recommend, review and lead in the development of appropriate statistical analyses, data analysis plans, and research questions based on project needs.
• Clean and combine data, including merging files, recoding, dealing with missing data, and ensuring files are prepared for research analyses.
• Perform basic descriptive statistics, including means, medians, frequencies, chi-square, correlations, crosstabs, regression, logistic regression and ANOVA.
• Recommend advanced statistics, to answer research questions.
• Collaborate with and advise other analysts at CPRD to serve as a peer support system for problem-solving and quality assurance of research projects.

Research Documentation, Data Visualization, Interpretation, and Reporting
• Clearly document all research procedures and analyses.
• Translate research data output into text, bullet points, or tables/graphs/charts using APA style and/or other standard style guidelines.
• Design, interpret and develop compelling data visualizations for research reports from all relevant systems and distribute them to meet the project needs.
• Design, build and maintain data dashboards using Tableau or Power BI that will be used by research teams and stakeholders to answer research questions, make decisions about practice, and inform policy.
• Understand and communicate data dashboard design techniques and options.
• Effectively communicate and report research data analytic procedures and results to other researchers, funders, and partners.
• Follow internal CPRD protocols and communicate project or center-wide system weaknesses and solutions in a timely manner.
• Lead in the preparation of surveys, reports, and research publications for the project.
Project Coordination
• Coordinate project activities.
• Develop and monitor project timelines for meeting all project deliverables.
• Partner with team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with federal and state funders for home visiting programs and connect with university partners
and interdisciplinary groups.
• Other duties and responsibilities as appropriate.
• Assists in special assignments and operational needs as directed by supervisor.
