Position Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Contract and Procurement Technician, where you'll play a crucial role in facilitating contracting, granting, and procurement processes with key program areas. This position involves evaluating All Willing and Qualified (AWAQ) applications for prospective Service Providers and grant applications/proposals, reviewing the statuses of entities registering in GATA, and developing correspondence with providers, grantees, and applicants as required. You will collaborate with management and department staff to streamline these processes, ensuring efficient and effective program management. Preferred qualifications include two years of experience demonstrating extensive knowledge of the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA), governmental procurement principles, grant agreement development work, and the ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships. Essential Functions
- Confers with management and other department staff to facilitate contracting, granting, and procurement processes with key program areas.
- Evaluates All Willing and Qualified (AWAQ) applications for prospective Service Providers and grant applications/proposals.
- Reviews statuses of entities registering in GATA.
- Develops and prepares correspondence with providers, grantees and applicants if required by the application and/or the grant agreement/award processes.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of four years of college, preferably with course work in business or public administration.
- Requires one year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or the completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers two years of experience demonstrating extensive knowledge of the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA).
- Prefers two years of experience demonstrating working knowledge of the principles of governmental procurement.
- Prefers two years of experience demonstrating extensive knowledge of grant agreement development work.
- Prefers two years of experience demonstrating the ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships.
