Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with other staff to design, develop, implement and maintain databases, applications, data collection and reporting techniques to meet changing information needs.
• Provide planning, training and support for the integration of data and information management activities.
• Provide input for developing and improving systems and procedures.
Provide reports and analysis for management decision making.
• Use appropriate applications and data to assist administrators, faculty, and staff in obtaining timely, accurate, and relevant information.
• Assist users in the appropriate and secure use of data provided and/or maintained by DMI.
Extract data from DMI sources and other university administrative databases to create reports for responding to data requests.
• Verify data accuracy; initiate and resolve data quality issues.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation on all projects, processes, and reports.
Develop a thorough familiarity with campus and university data sources and understand the appropriate use of each.
• Maintain an understanding of reporting requirements.
• Understand the legal and regulatory environment controlling the use and dissemination of campus data, including highly confidential information.
Represent DMI on university committees as needed.
