Duties & Responsibilities
- Operational Duties • Customer Service Liaison between PSEP and individual clients and customers. • Manages logistics of state-wide training clinics (20 annual events, 100 - 400 attendees per clinic) and 4 large capacity testing-only sessions. Tasks include but are not limited to scheduling, securing venue, catering, audio-visual contracts, and hotel accommodations for the traveling PSEP team. • Registers clients for in-person training clinics and online training courses and ensures fees have been collected from participants. • Database coordination and maintenance – works closely with the PSEP Instructional Designer to ensure accuracy and timely updates to the PSEP registration website )www.pesticidesafety.illinois.edu). Assists in creating an efficient and functional registration process. Works closely with Information Technology Specialists to problem-solve client technical issues with online training modules and registrations. • Liaison between PSEP and various State Agencies (IL Dept. of Agriculture, IL Dept. of Transportation, IL Dept. of Public Health, IL Dept. of Natural Resources, etc.).
- Administrative Duties
• Connects and coordinates with University of Illinois Extension units and Distribution Services.
• Responsible for the design, creation, and distribution of the PSEP annual clinic brochures and coordinates with IL Dept. of Agriculture to produce the Private clinic pamphlet.
• Supplies operational data for annual grants from the IL Department of Agriculture and the Pesticide Safety Education Funds Management Program.
• Responsible for maintaining the inventory of thirty-five PSEP educational materials and initiating the reprint and revision process with the PSEP team.
• Assists with light editing, writing, web posting, and other basic programmatic needs. - Financial Duties • Fiscal accountability for all PSEP financial transactions ($500,000 – $750,000 budget) and assists in long-range financial planning and program goal setting. • Deposits checks to OBFS. • Approves all PSEP expenditures. • Accountable for the change order fund and follows OBFS policies and procedures. • PSEP liaison to Crop Sciences Business Office and U of I Purchasing to ensure contract approval, purchase order establishment, and venue payments.
Salary : $500,000 - $750,000
