Duties & Responsibilities
- Management Operations
1. Lead the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of policies and procedures to ensure operational consistency and compliance with University, funder, and regulatory requirements while monitoring the effectiveness of existing policies, recommending updates to leadership, and implementing changes as necessary.
2. Design and implement comprehensive training programs to equip Unit staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully manage the relationship between HFS and the University, OMI's various University Partnerships, Illinois Government, and state/federal Medicaid policies and partners.
3. Identify training needs based on Unit Leadership's assessment of operational performance, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
4. Working with System Human Resources and Unit leadership, to develop workforce plans that align with the Unit's operational goals and budget to support employee retention and growth.
5. In coordination with the Unit's compliance team, ensure that all Unit staff complete University, funder, and Unit required trainings.
6. In collaboration with Unit Leadership, identify key positions within the Unit that are critical to operational continuity and in collaboration with Unit leadership and System HR develop and implement succession plans to ensure a pipeline of qualified candidates for these positions.
7. Serve as the primary liaison between the Unit and System Human Resources on matters related to workforce planning, professional development, and related matters.
8. Supports Unit leadership with the onboarding and offboarding of staff within the Unit, creating integration plans for staff joining Unit, ongoing development of product knowledge, and exit plans for individuals leaving the Unit.
9. Assist the Unit's annual budget for staff developmental funds, helping Unit leadership prioritize funding for training, professional development, and related activities while contributing to the individual success of staff, the cohesion of the Unit's various teams, and the overall success of the Units.
10. Serves as a full line supervisor, directing the efforts of subordinate staff. - Tracking, Reporting and Special Projects
1. Track the completion of required compliance activities across the Unit and work with Unit leadership to ensure compliance with University protocols.
2. Develop and maintain reports for Unit Leadership regarding the status of staff, utilization of hours, and related metrics that contribute to positive Unit retention.
3. Organizes and implements special projects as detailed by OMI Leadership or requested by its funders. - Other Duties as Assigned
