Duties & Responsibilities
Analyzing data and writing up results in manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations (40%)
Deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting gas analyzers, autochambers, and soil sensors in agricultural fields to continuously collect hourly measurements of soil nitrous oxide emissions, soil moisture, and soil temperature (20%)
Developing spreadsheet templates and R scripts to enable efficient processing and quality checking of raw data, and using the spreadsheets and R scripts (15%)
Collecting soil, gas, and water samples from the field and analyzing them in the laboratory to produce high quality data that complements the field-based measurements (10%)
Supervising technician and undergraduate students assisting with this project, including training, assigning work, and tracking work performance and deliverables (10%)
Ordering and inventorying materials and supplies for research activities (5%)
