Position Overview
The Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO) is looking to hire a Senior Program Development Manager in Chicago. The Program Development Division Manager is responsible for developing, planning, and implementing workforce development programs in Illinois. The Program Manager works with the Office of Employment and Training (OET) management team under the general direction of the OET Deputy Director. This position provides executive-level support for developing, implementing, and coordinating workforce development programs, projects, and initiatives. The Program Division Manager also gives executive-level support to the administration, reporting and evaluating workforce development programs, projects, and initiatives. Essential Functions
- Manages the Program Development Division of the Office of Employment and Training.
- Directs the development of workforce programs and initiatives for the DCEO Office of Employment and Training.
- Directs staff to design and implement an assessment strategy using qualitative and quantitative standards of measurement to evaluate performance of projects funded through state operated WIOA and Trade program.
- Serves as working supervisor.
- Provides input and analysis to support the development and justification of the annual program budget for the Program Developments Division.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
