Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the AP/AR Manager, the Accounting Specialist's primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Review and approve invoices on online software to ensure correct coding

· Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies

· Assist A/P with coding invoices, as needed

· Prepare weekly check runs for manager approval

· Provide backup to A/R, as needed

· Assist in special projects as necessary

Additional skills

· Must have excellent organizational, written and oral communication, as well as complex problem solving and analytical skills.

· Prioritization and multi-tasking skills.

·Must have Microsoft Excel knowledge, using Pivot Tables, lookups and formatting raw data

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all Finance Staff and wide range of company managers, investors, supervisors, and employees. Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

· Experience with Concur and Famous ERP software is a major plus

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· At least 2-3 years of accounting experience

· Strong data entry/numerical skills

· Understanding of basic accounting principles

· Detail oriented to audit coding

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Agriculture experience preferred.
