As the Vice President of Operations, you'll provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, transportation, safety, facilities, research and development lab, quality, engineering, continuous improvement operations, and supply chain. Your focus will be on execution and optimization, ensuring that our Operations teams are collaborative, innovative, and execution-driven while meeting financial objectives. Key Responsibilities Include
- Operational Leadership:
- Formulate and implement policies that enhance our competitive position and profitability.
- Establish world-class, lean operational standards in safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Oversee execution of manufacturing schedules and supply chain planning to meet sales and capacity demands.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to minimize waste and enhance product yields.
- Oversee effective buying and planning strategies that optimize inventory, customer satisfaction, and cost control.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure new product development aligns with manufacturability and cost optimization.
- Provide leadership for R&D Lab, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance.
- Implement best practices in batch manufacturing to improve production scalability and reliability.
- Lead major projects, plant layout changes, capital investments, and outsourcing strategies.
- Financial Management:
- Meet or exceed profit targets for Operations functions.
- Develop and manage budgets, labor standards, and cost controls.
- Establish processes to monitor key success factors, including on-time delivery, inventory, labor efficiency, and quality.
- Safety, Security & Compliance:
- Foster a culture of safety, engagement, and operational excellence.
- Drive safety training programs and OSHA compliance.
- Ensure security of buildings, equipment, and company assets.
- Develop and periodically test business continuity and emergency plans.
- Leadership & Talent Development:
- Lead, manage, and hold others accountable for operational strategy and execution.
- Maintain and enhance company culture and core values.
- Oversee workforce planning, team building, and performance management.
- Coach leaders and develop employees to achieve company goals.
- Establish clear communication channels to drive engagement and productivity.
- Participate on the Executive Leadership team providing input on key business decisions.
- 15 years of manufacturing experience, including 5 years in senior leadership with full P&L responsibility (CPG industry preferred).
- Expertise in batch manufacturing, lean and CI methodologies, and supply chain management.
- Strong background in KPI creation, strategic planning, and process improvement.
- Experience managing ERP/MRP, WMS, and Supply Chain systems (Macola & WISYS a plus).
- Knowledge of quality assurance and regulatory compliance (FDA, OSHA, etc.).
- Proven ability to lead large-scale operational projects, capital investments, and facility expansions.
- Strong people leadership skills, including talent development, team building, and performance management across diverse teams and shift structures.
- The salary range is XXXX - XXXX. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range commensurate on the candidates' experience and skills. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
