This 1.1 million-square-foot factory is currently in advanced stages of preparation in the Columbus, Ohio area. Job Summary :
As the Inbound Operations Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of warehouse staff to ensure the efficient handling of incoming materials. You will lead daily operations including unloading, picking, packing, and inventory management while maintaining a safe and productive environment. Your leadership will guide your team to meet operational goals and ensure that all processes are performed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse associates in daily inbound operations, including unloading materials, picking and packing orders, and managing inventory.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance skills, improve productivity, and ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
- Coordinate and delegate tasks to ensure efficient workflow, meeting daily and weekly operational goals.
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback and guidance to ensure continuous improvement and high team morale.
- Safely operate and oversee the use of material handling equipment (e.g., hand trucks, forklifts), ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Input and retrieve data using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, or other relevant databases to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure accurate material handling, inventory tracking, and proper storage procedures to maintain inventory integrity.
- Foster a positive team environment, encouraging collaboration and effective communication among team members.
- Support and collaborate with supervisors and other departments to solve operational challenges and ensure smooth inbound operations.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by the supervisor to support overall warehouse success.
