Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving specification sales of lighting and controls products by building and nurturing strong relationships with key decision-makers, including architects, engineers, lighting designers, and contractors. Your primary goal will be to increase the specification and selection of our products for a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. This position can be VT or NH based.
Responsibilities:
- Educate specifiers on the benefits and applications of our product lines through presentations, demos, and product knowledge sessions.
- Identify opportunities to specify lighting and control solutions on upcoming projects.
- Collaborate with the design community to specify products that meet project requirements.
- Deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations tailored to different audiences (e.g., lighting designers, electrical engineers, architects, contractors etc.).
- Stay informed on the latest trends and developments in lighting technologies, energy codes, and sustainability standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely product delivery and technical support to meet client needs.
- Provide expert product knowledge, design assistance, and tailored solutions during the specification process.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to stay informed on the latest trends and grow your professional network.
- Works directly with electrical engineers within Vermont market to generate and secure lighting and lighting controls specifications.
- Build and establish relationships with electrical contractor channel, for Bid/Build, Design Build and discretionary opportunities.
- Further expand relationships with electrical distribution base in Vermont, securing illuminates market position.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of sales experience, preferably in lighting or A/D community
- Self-starter with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel within the New England region of NH and VT
- Agi32 or Lighting Design Software
- Office 365
